Web1 jun. 2024 · MTN New York-listed IHS Towers, one of the largest independent owners, operators, and developers of shared communications infrastructure in the world by tower count, has completed the acquisition of 5,701 towers from MTN SA. WebIHS Rwanda started operating in December 2013. We subsequently acquired the tower assets of MTN Rwandacell Ltd, and purchased the entire shareholding of Rwanda Towers Ltd (formerly a subsidiary of Airtel Rwanda Ltd). Through these transactions, IHS Rwanda is now the leading owner and operator of shared communications infrastructure in Rwanda.
